Learning Specialist II

Lydia is an international educator and literacy specialist dedicated to helping students discover how they learn best. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University, a master’s degree in bilingual education, and specialized training in Bowman’s Orton-Gillingham “Plus” approach to structured literacy.

Having taught and tutored learners across diverse international settings, Lydia understands that children process language in different ways. She replaces reading frustration with explicit, evidence-based instruction tailored to your child’s unique cognitive strengths. By breaking down reading and writing concepts into clear, actionable steps, Lydia helps students build foundational skills, academic independence, and lasting confidence.

With a background in bilingual education, Lydia also brings a deep appreciation for multilingual families and varied learning paths. Outside of her work with students, she enjoys traveling, pilates, and photography.
